Household Items That Need To Be Cleaned Often

You can find many ways to clean your home on TV and the internet. They are helpful and may even help you to tackle impossible tasks. But one thing is certain: it’s important to clean your house often. It’s better to plan your home cleaning every month, rather than waiting until spring cleaning. This will ensure that dirt and dust don’t build up. A clean home will help you feel refreshed and relaxed at the end the day. These are some suggestions for cleaning your home.

1. Door Knobs

The doorknob is likely the first thing you see when you arrive home. While it may not be dirty, there might be a lot of germs. Use a strong household disinfectant with a rag to clean all doorsknobs once a week, especially during flu season.

2. Light Switches

Light switches should also be included on your household cleaning checklist. Spray your household disinfectant on a damp cloth, not directly on the switch, as the switches are wired.

3. Pillows

While washing sheets is a common way to clean your home, many people are unaware that you can wash pillows in the washer. Follow the instructions on the label of your pillow to learn how to clean your pillows and clean your house.

4. Bath Mats

Regularly washing your bathroom rugs is a great way to keep your home clean. Hang it up to dry and then wash it with other towels weekly if it is cloth. Use household cleaners to clean a rubber or plastic one.

5. Get rid of your trash cans

Trash cans, even with liners, are covered in bacteria and germs. All trash cans should be included in your monthly cleaning plan. You can quickly wash them by taking them outside and spraying them with soap and household cleaners. Then let them dry in the sunlight. You may need to scrub them with a rag if they haven’t been cleaned in awhile.

6. Keyboards

A simple household disinfectant and a compressed air blower are the best household cleaners to prevent germs and dust from getting on your computer keyboard. Clean your keyboard by blowing out dirt and dust, then cleaning it with disinfectant.

7. Toothbrush Holder

The toothbrush holder is a common item that gets overlooked but should be included on your home cleaning checklist. After brushing your teeth, apply some soapy water to the toothbrush holder and massage it in. This will help you learn how to clean your home more easily.

8. Sockets

Although this may seem like a long list of cleaning house, certain things, such as baseboards, can only be cleaned once or twice per year. Use a dusting spray and a rag to clean the baseboards before vacuuming.

9. Refrigerator

You can make odors from things that spill over the fridge. It will save you time and prevent your fridge from becoming sticky if you do it once per month.

10. Oven

Keep in mind the fact that ovens need to be cleaned frequently when you are thinking about cleaning your kitchen and house. Some may be equipped with an automatic cleaning feature, but there are also special cleaners that can remove food that has been cooked.

11. Fans

Dust can build up on ceiling fans blades as you lay down to think about cleaning your home. A pillowcase is a great way to keep your home clean and remove dust from the fan. After dusting the blades with some cleaning products, you can slide the pillowcase around and clean it. The pillowcase will catch the dust so it doesn’t get all over the place.

It can be difficult to know how much you should clean in your home. However, once you have divided these items into weekly, monthly and yearly lists you will feel more at ease. These housekeeping tasks can be made a routine and won’t translate into a massive spring cleaning. Instead, you’ll be able to go into a new home each day.
