progress on the prairie

this blog comes from the idea that many of us in middle america deal with different problems and or joys than our fellow citizens on the coasts or in major cities. this is press for the folks in the middle. this is for our personal experiences, our cultural criticism, art, activism, the kick-ass things going on in small towns or a big town nearby… you know, we can’t all take the train to march on D.C. nor can we all subway to brooklyn for artistic refuge. nor do we all want to. lots of us are keeping it local…here are our stories.
